We all
Know that it
Important to have
Tree's in todays Urban
Landscape. And there are a
Lot of other reasons for having
Trees surround us in our environment.
One and the most important is that they Provide
vital oxygen that we use to breath. They are a food source
and help keep the planet cooler. They also breath in Carbon
Dioxide which is also vital to our survival. People just love tree's
and tree's love people I'm sure of it. Trees also protect you home from
Soil erosion from heavy rains as the roots grab on to the soil and hold on to it
so that water cannot wash it away. A misconception that I run into a lot is homeowners
Thinking that the roots are going underneath there homes and destroying there foundation. This is very rarely the case . Roots do not go where there is no Water or Oxygen. And if you have a home with a footer then it is doubtful that the roots are going to go down past that. Unless of course you have a leak somewhere underneath your home already.
Trees also provide shade in the Summer time . I know that people especially here in Central Florida love
Parking underneath trees . You just have to go to any supermarket or shopping center in the summer and try to find a parking spot underneath a tree! You won't find one. They are cherished like front row spots.
And the money that you save on Air Conditioning because your home is shaded can be Quiet substantial.
well worth the price of a occasional Gutter Cleaning . or Tree deadwooding or tree Elevation to keep the limbs off of your roof. I personally have limbs over my roof and I can tell you my home stays a lot cooler then most . And probably helps preserve my shingles also.
Another good advantage to having trees in your yard is that it will make your home worth more money...
this is a proven Real Estate fact . A home with a lot of tree's in the yard is going to be worth a lot more then a home with no tree's . My old boss used to say " A home without tree's isn't fit for a Dog" I can tell you that from personal experience dealing with Hurricanes That tree's will also protect your home from the harsh winds . I was surprised how many people wanted to remove the trees around their homes after Hurricane Irma . After the tree's stood strong and probably protected their homes during the storm then they want to cut them down. Makes no sense!
There have been studies done on how areas with tree's have a lot less crime then the areas with no trees . It makes sense . The city versus the country. You would Think that maybe we should keep as many around as we can. And instead of removing them because they are an inconvenience, Maybe we should or can start reducing there size , and start planting them where they can thrive , and start planting the correct species in the correct location.
I've cut down many Trees , some needed to be removed and some didn't . I can tell you that it is not easy to see a tree cut down that has been around for many many years. But if somebody wants it down then its going to come down and Beechnut will be there to get it down . Just make sure the tree really needs to be removed and not just because there are leaves in the gutters. Tree's are also home for many wildlife creatures that rely on them for shelter or food or just a place to stop and take a breather before carrying on to a new location.
Tree's are and always been a necessary to humans survival and always will be so lets treat them with care and kindness because a tree in your yard could easily be 2 or 3 times your age and it would be a shame to lose such old and wise species like them .
